We love Lems Shoes, and we’ll tell you why.
Shop footwear matters. So we choose Lems.
And these are the Lems we wear.
As woodworkers, we spend a ton of time on our feet in the shop; sometimes moving around, sometimes standing in place. By the start of my second full year of running Sturdy Bones Woodworking full-time, I noticed I was dealing with foot and ankle pain (and I’m only 37). It was time for a change. I had been wearing (and loving) a pair of Lems I had bought to be my every day casual shoes, but I wasn’t wearing them in the shop to keep from getting them covered in sawdust and wearing out too fast. But I knew how my feet felt wearing my Lems on day long outings and pretty much everywhere I went outside of my job, which was -awesome. Now, we wear Lems every day in the shop, and also partner with Lems as an affiliate so that more woodworkers can take care of their feet and get more done in the wood shop.
Mesa - Safari
This is my second (and current) pair of Mesas, courtesy of Lems! Since I had such a great experience with my first pair of Mesa’s I had to stick with what I know (but obviously try a different color)! And I couldn’t resist how cool the Safari colorway is.
Trailhead - Sage
I am is pumped to try a different style, so I recently picked up a pair of Trailheads in this awesome green and gold colorway.
If you're looking for a pair of minimalist hiking shoes that can do it all, the Trailhead is the answer to your every move. These lightweight kicks are equipped to take on the trail and tackle the city streets, all in the same day.
Mesa - Coastal
This was my first pair of Lems shoes. I bought them after seeing an ad because they look so awesome. But I fell in love with them when I started wearing them as my everyday shoes. They’re super comfortable, and the sock-style means I can just slip them on and go.
Trailhead - Stormy Night
Tim’s first pair of Lems were the Trailheads. They’re chunkier than the Mesas and designed for rougher terrain and longer hours on your feet.

Primal Zen Suede Graphite
Tim’s everyday Lems are the Primal Zen Suede. But even these make regular appearances in the shop and keep him comfortable on his feet all day.
This version of the Primal Zen features a soft suede upper with perforations throughout, making it an ultra comfortable, highly breathable option.
Mesa - Arctic Blue
We’re obviously big fans of the Mesa model and its awesome colorways. So when we partnered with Lems, their incredible staff sent Tim a pair of Mesas in the Arctic Blue colorway.
The Mesa's upper features a knit material designed for optimal flexibility and air flow, granting you breathability and reduced foot funk.
